Senior Managing Director, FTI Consulting (Asia) Limited Back to Contacts       Bruno Arboit is Senior Managing Director of FTI Consulting (Asia), based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining FTI, Bruno was a lead partner of accounting firm Baker Tilly Hong Kong from its inception in 2001. The firm grew to become one of the top 10 accounting and business advisory firms in Hong Kong. In early 2010 he initiated and negotiated the sale of the business recovery, forensic and litigation support practice of Baker Tilly Hong Kong to New York Stock Exchange listed global business advisory firm, FTI Consulting Inc. Bruno began his accountancy career in Australia and has more than 22 years' experience, predominantly in the corporate recovery, forensic and litigation support area, including 11 years working for a Big Four accounting firm (KPMG) both in Australia and Hong Kong. He has considerable experience in acting for both directors and creditors of companies facing financial difficulties and has undertaken numerous special investigations and business reviews involving the assessment of financial viability and the formulation of recovery strategies. His work experience also includes providing expert opinion in shareholder disputes, valuations and fraud investigations. Bruno is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”) and CPA Australia, a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia, a Certified Fraud Examiner and is an approved insolvency practitioner and appointment taker under the Official Receiver's various Panels. He has acted as liquidator in over 600 separate unconnected Hong Kong Court appointed administrations and during the course of his career has overseen and negotiated the sale and purchase of numerous assets including operating businesses. In addition, Bruno is a Board Director of INSOL International, the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Professionals and Deputy Chairman of the HKICPA Restructuring and Insolvency Faculty Executive Committee. He is also a former director and presenter for all insolvency courses administered by the HKICPA and has written a number of published articles on corporate recovery related matters, including analyses of proposed changes to legislation governing the operation of insolvency law in Hong Kong and the PRC.
