Mr. Shoda is currently the Representative Director of Shoda & Partners in Tokyo. Previously he spent 41 years with Sony Corporation. His appointments there included General Manager of International Cooperation Department (1989 to 1993), Representative of Sony Corporation in Beijing (1993 to 1996), Vice Chairman of Sony China Limited (1996 to 1998), Chairman of Sony China Limited (1998 to 2001), Group Director and Representative of East Asia Division of Sony Corporation (2001 to 2003) and finally as a Senior Advisor (2003 to 2005).

During his time with Sony, Mr. Shoda was extensively involved in e-business development and was an advisor to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) where he helped developing countries through various international cooperation projects. As the Chairman of Sony China Limited Mr. Shoda played a central role in Sony’s PRC investments.

Mr. Shoda is a graduate of Keio University (B.S. in Engineering - 1964). He speaks fluent English and Mandarin.
