Masashi Niwa is a Vice President with International Risk Ltd based in Tokyo. He is responsible for the delivery of consulting services involving risk assessment, crisis management and litigation support both within the Asia Pacific region and globally on behalf of International Risk’s multinational clients. He also coordinates complex, multi-disciplinary and cross-regional projects, including business intelligence, fraud and corporate investigations, and brand protection strategies. In addition, Masashi is responsible for business development and relationship building with some of the world’s leading organisations.

Prior to joining International Risk, Masashi ran his own consulting firm specializing in business strategy development services, such as Marketing Strategy, Branding Strategy, Management Strategy, etc, for several major corporations.

Before establishing his own business, Masashi was a senior strategy consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Japan specializing in the Information, Communication and Entertainment industries. Whilst at PwC, he managed several large projects for multi-national companies defining business operational processes, developing organizational structures and defining quality control measures and systems.

Whilst studying for a Bachelors degree majoring in sociology from the University of Wisconsin, Masashi spent two years as a research analyst at an environmental not-for-profit organization based in the United States.

Masashi is fluent in Japanese and English.
